Movin'

I'm sorry I haven't posted pictures as promised, but I've not been able to use my computer so the pictures will have to wait. My time in Texas is now coming to an end. This is definitely a bitter sweet time in my life right now. I'm so excited about being able to join in ministry with the wonderful BCM at Valodosta State University. There is also a ton of excitement about being closer to my Madison (and Blakley, Jonathan, Nana and Papa). However this is a really sad time when I think about leaving my friends. I've made some wonderful friends at the bank I work at and am very sad to leave them. I'm also really sad about leaving the church God placed me at while in Fort Worth. It's never easy to find the exact church that God wants you at, but I must say that He blessed me beyond belief with my church family. The hardest part of leaving is the people that will stay here in Texas. It's going to be hard to find a group of friends as supportive and loving as the ones I've made here.

Anyway, my wonderful friend Lauren will be joining me in my trip to Georgia. We will be touring around Atlanta on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (7/15, 7/16, 7/17). Taking in the Lazer Show at Stone Mountain on Sunday (if there is anyone that would like to join Lauren, Blakley, Jonathan, Madison and myself). On Tuesday morning or afternoon we'll be heading up to North Georgia to stay in my parent's cabin (which is now about 15 minutes from their house). Hang out with the parentals and go rafting on Saturday.

I must admit, there is a going away gift from Fort Worth that I could have done without. The person that broke into my car on Sunday and stole two of the most important things to me: my makeup and digital camera. Oh well, nothing money can't replace right?

I KNOW IT'S BEEN FOREVER

I know that a new post is long overdue. Well, I work at a bank and I'm having to fill in for someone that usually works in the safe deposit vault so I have a lot of time on the computer now. Anyway, I have a lot of new pictures to post but can't do it from work so when I get home tonight or tomorrow I'll try to post some pictures. I've been to Georgia, since my last post and have been spending time with my friends here in Texas. I will be working and hanging out in Texas until July 14th and then my roommate, Lauren, and I will head back to Georgia. Anyway, hopefully I'll post some pictures soon.

Valdosta or Bust

Well, nothing like waiting a whole month before posting again. I decided to let everyone in on what is going to be happening after graduation. Right now I'm in the middle of finishing up classes and fixing to take finals, so sorry it's been so long since I've posted.

I was wanting to try and call everyone before putting it up on my blog, but there was no way right now, so here it goes. I have been offered an internship with the Baptist Collegiate ministries in Georgia. The position offered to me is at Valdosta State University. I will be moving to Valdosta the last weekend in July. My job will be to hang out with college students and build relationships with them in order to share Christ and disciple them. Is this the best job or what? My supervisor, Jeff Ford, told me that he didn't want to see me in the office a whole lot, but wanted me to hang out on campus. I said, "I can't believe I'm going to have a job where I stay on campus and hang out with college students all day." Unbelievable!! Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know what was happening. Sixteen Days and counting until Graduation.

Maddie Cakes is Getting Big

Here's my sweet little Maddie Cakes. This is a picture my dad (papa) took while she was talking to me on the phone. Most of my friends are mistaken because they say she's biting the phone, but everyone who has a niece or nephew knows that she was giving me kisses, right before she hung up on me. LOL!!
She's such a big girl that she's sitting up all by herself. She's even pulling up now, I mean who cares about crawling, I'm with her I think she should just skip crawling and start walking.
This is Madison having so much fun with Nana (my mom). She was helping Nana cook breakfast for everyone.
This looks like one of her favorite places huh? She's just lounging with Papa.
This is a picture before they all went to church on Sunday morning. Papa should be really happy because he's been complaining about his picture not being posted as much as Madison's. But she's so cute, can you blame me? HA! HA!

New Puppy

My roommate Lauren got a new puppy this weekend. Her name is Reesie (because he's chocolate colored with peanut butter streaks). Isn't she the cutest. She's been a lot of fun.

This is Lauren (mom) with her new little one. Reesie will only get a couple of pounds bigger.

A Shout Out

Well, I needed to give a shout out to some of my friends here in Texas. So many of my Georgia friends don't know my friends in Texas so I wanted to introduce three of my closest buddies here in Fort Worth. This pic is (from left to right) Lauren, Bonnie and myself. We were at Fox and the Hound watching college football.
This is my friend Chris (Bonnie's Boyfriend). He is a dreaded Georgia fan, but we had a lot of fun watching the GA Tech/Georgia game together. Chris is really great!! He puts up with us three ladies all of the time and probably really hates it at times. If Lauren and I could just find boyfriends, he would be able to have a little more guy time.

This is Bonnie, myself, and Lauren again. We had eaten Mexican and were having fun. Bonnie is a ton of fun. She's such a sweetheart and we love hanging out with her. Lauren is my roommate and my hairdresser. Therefore I don't make her mad at home because she could do crazy stuff with my hair. Lauren is actually gone this week so I'm really missing her. Anyway, these are some of the people that make it hard when I think about leaving Texas. I really love these guys and treasure the friendships that I've found with them.

Tentative Clearance for Graduation

Well, I have tentatively been cleared for Graduation onMay 11th. This is assuming that I will pass all of my classes. As this date fastly approaches I covet your prayers. I'm am really seeking the Lord on what he would have me do and where he would have me go. My heart is to work with college students and the Lord has already provided some neat opportunities, so now I just need to know where his will leads. Thankfully I can cling to his Word while I wait.

Proverbs 29:25 "The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trust in the Lord is safe."

I have no reason to fear because I can put my trust and hope in the one who knows and controls the future.
